How HitRateProp calculates hit rates
How HRP turns recorded player statistics into historical prop research.
How hit rates are calculated
Hit rates are calculated from recorded player game statistics against the selected prop line and direction. Over requires the recorded value to finish above the line; Under requires it to finish below the line.
When a whole-number line finishes exactly on the recorded value, the result is treated as a push and excluded from the hit-rate denominator. A dash means there are not enough qualifying games available for that window.
Data sources
HitRateProp uses sports data supplied through PropLine and may use other applicable sports data sources as coverage develops. HitRateProp processes recorded player statistics to calculate the historical hit rates, recent-trend labels, game histories, and other research views shown on this site.
Underlying sports data and third-party material remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective providers and sources. HitRateProp does not claim ownership of third-party source data.
Data corrections and limitations
Sports data can be delayed, incomplete, corrected after publication, or affected by official scoring changes. Data availability also varies by sport and season. HitRateProp may recalculate displayed results when source data changes.
HitRateProp is actively expanding its historical coverage. Some sports, seasons, players, or prop types may currently contain less history than others as additional games and markets are added.
Always verify current market rules, lines, player status, and official results before relying on historical research. HitRateProp is an independent research site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by a sportsbook, professional sports league, or team.
